Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 is yet another smartphone that the company launched on Tuesday beside the Huawei P20 lineup and the Huawei Porsche Design Mate RS. The Chinese mobile maker, at an event in Paris, unveiled its flagship smartphones – Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro. While the company had already launched the Huawei P20 Lite earlier this month, it has now quietly rolled out a new smartphone – the Y7 Prime 2018 – that appears to be a toned down version of the flagships. It is a refreshed version of the Huawei Y7 Prime that was launched last year.

The Huawei Y7 Prime smartphone comes with a big 5.99-inch 18:9 display without the notch. While in terms of features, the smartphone does not have top of the line specifications, it does introduce popular functionalities such as face unlock, spilt-screen mode, FullView display, AR lens, dual cameras, Android Oreo, and more. Notably, Huawei has not revealed the pricing details of the Y7 Prime 2018, nor is there any word on its release date. However, we do know the smartphone will be available in three colour variants – Black, Blue, and Gold.

Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 Specifications

The dual-SIM Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 sports a 5.99-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) FullView display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0. The handset has a triple card slot so it can include two SIMs and one microSD at the same time. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It features a dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, the handset has an 8-megapixel camera.

On board the Huawei Y7 Prime 2018, is 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card. The smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and NFC (LDN-TL10 only). It bears an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, and a proximity sensor. It also features a fingerprint sensor at the back. The handset is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone measures 158.3×76.7×7.8mm and weighs 155 grams.

Huawei Nova 2 Lite is the company’s latest smartphone which it has launched in the Philippines. The smartphone is Huawei’s new mid-range offering and comes with up to 3GB RAM, bears a 5.99-inch 18:9 bezel-less display, and sports a dual-camera setup. The smartphone is currently up for pre-order in the country, and will go on sale on March 23 at PHP 9,990 (roughly Rs. 12,500).

The Huawei Nova 2 Lite runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0. As mentioned, it sports a 5.99-inch HD+ IPS (720×1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM.

In terms of optics, Huawei Nova 2 Lite comes with a dual camera setup. Huawei has added a primary 13-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. The smartphone also sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera, without LED flash support. As mentioned, the smartphone also comes with Face Unlock support.

The smartphone comes in only one inbuilt storage option – 32GB, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). Notably, the Huawei Nova 2 Lite sports a metal unibody design and comes in two colour variants – Black and Blue. Also, the phone is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a Micro-USB port. Sensors on board the Huawei Nova 2 Lite include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. As mentioned, it also has a fingerprint sensor. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 76.7×158.3×7.8mm and weighs 155 grams.

Meanwhile, there are no details available about the global availability of the Huawei Nova 2 Lite as of now. Huawei is currently set to launch its flagship smartphone series – Huawei P20 – on March 27 in Paris, France. Several leaks, rumours, and teasers have already revealed many specifications and price details of all the three smartphones – Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei P20 Lite – in the lineup.

HTC Desire 12 Plus has been leaked. The development follows the leak of the original, smaller variant – HTC Desire 12 – from last month. Said to sport an 18:9 display, the Desire 12’s retail box was also leaked, tipping detailed specifications. Now, detailed specifications of HTC Desire 12 Plus have hit the Web, and point to the use of a 5.99-inch display on what is thought to be an upcoming large-screen affordable smartphone from the Taiwanese electronics giant that’s having a tough time staying afloat in the intensely mobile competitive market.

According to a report by Android Headlines, the HTC Desire 12 Plus is codenamed Breeze Plus – which fits with the Breeze codename that had been leaked for the smaller HTC Desire 12. As per the report, the HTC Desire 12 Plus bears a 5.99-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) TFT display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 268ppi. It is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, clocked at up to 1.8GHz. The Desire 12 Plus is also tipped to bear a 13-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera.

As for storage, the HTC Desire 12 Plus is reported to feature 32GB of inbuilt storage that’s expandable via microSD card. Connectivity options include support for a range of LTE bands, including Band 3 and Band 40. It is said to be powered by a 2965mAh battery, with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support that can fully recharge the battery in 2 hours and 10 minutes with a 5V/1.5A charger. It measures 158.24×76.54×8.39mm and weighs 155.01 grams. It can be expected to run Android Oreo, as the Desire 12 was also tipped to run the same version of Android.

To recall, the HTC Desire 12 was first leaked by prolific tipster, Evan Blass (aka @evleaks). A later leak detailed the specifications, claiming the dual-SIM (Nano) Desire 12 features a 5.5-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. The handset is also reported to come with a 12-megapixel PDAF camera sensor on the back, supporting 1080p video recording, and a 5-megapixel BSI camera sensor on the front. Further, it is spotted with a microSD card support (up to 2TB), 2730mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE, and Bluetooth.

Blass had claimed the HTC Desire 12 would run Oreo, and sport 2GB RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor, 8-megapixel front camera sensor, and 16GB onboard storage.
