Poland has one of the EU’s lowest proportions of early school leavers and of students with underachievement in basic skills, the European Commission acknowledged on Thursday.

The Polish capital city, Warsaw, has advanced in rankings for the percentage of 30 to 34 year-old residents who have completed higher education with over 40 percent, up from 34.8 percent in 2010.
“However, a significant number of challenges remain. These include issues relating to access to quality [of early childhood education and care], particularly for children under the age of three,“ the 2015 Monitor stated.
“The relevance of higher education to the labour market“ was noted as problematic in Poland by the EC Monitor.
