Huawei Honor 7 with 20MP camera, Android 5.0 launched

In the past one year, Huawei has been pretty bullish about its smartphone division. To further strengthen its feet in this segment, the company has today introduced Honor 7.

Huawei Honor 7 is priced at Rs 22,999 and will retail exclusively on Flipkart starting October 15. In terms of specifications, Huawei Honor 7 comes with 5.2-inch 1080p screen. The phone measures 143.2 x 71.9 x 8.5mm, weighs 157 grams and has a fingerprint scanner placed on the back. The company claims that placing the fingerprint scanner makes the same easier to access.

It also insists that its fingerprint scanner will be able to function well even when your fingertips are wet. Huawei Honor 7 is powered by its own HiSilicon Kirin 935 chipset, which comes replete with an octa-core processor that’s made up of four cores running at 2.2GHz and four running at 1.5GHz along with 3GB of RAM. There are two internal storage options available for Honor 7- 16GB and 64GB. Both the variants support microSD card to upp to 128GB.

Out of the box, Huawei Honor 7 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop with a layer of Huawei’s own EMUi 3.1 interface. There is a 3,100mAh battery, which the company claims will offer 16 hours of 3G talktime.

For camera, Huawei Honor 7 has 20 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8 megapixel front snapper. For connectivity, this phone has NFC, 4G support, Bluetooth 4.1, dual band Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. The smartphone will be available in silver, gold and dark gray colour options.
