The iPad Pro is now available for purchase in India from authorised resellers. As Gadgets 360 previously reported, the basic variant of the iPad Pro is priced at Rs. 67,900. As for the accessories, theApple Pencil is priced at Rs. 8,600, while the Apple Smart Keyboard costs Rs. 14,900. Multiple retailers have however told us that the iPad Pro accessories aren’t going to be available for sale on Tuesday.
Unveiled at Apple’s mega September event, the iPad Pro is the largest tablet the company has made till date. It comes in two storage variants. The 32GB iPad Pro Wi-Fi only model is priced at Rs. 67,900, whereas the 128GB iPad Pro Wi-Fi model will cost you Rs. 79,900. The 128GB iPad Pro Wi-Fi + Cellular model, the costliest among the three, breaks the bank at Rs. 91,900.
The iPad Pro comes with a 12.9-inch display with 2732×2048 pixel screen resolution, packing in more than 5.6 million pixels. It is powered by a new “desktop class” A9X SoC, which as per the company’s claim is 1.8 times faster than its predecessor in CPU tasks. At the time of the unveiling, the company had claimed that the iPad Pro is faster than the majority of mobile PCs shipped in the last six months.
Other features of the device include an 8-megapixel iSight camera capable of recording videos in full-HD resolution, four speakers, and a “full-day” battery life. The device runs iOS 9 and supports multitasking features – Slide Over, Split View, and Picture-in-Picture.
In the meanwhile, the iPad Pro accessories won’t begin Tuesday due to unavailability in stock, as confirmed to Gadgets 360 by multiple retailers. The iPad Pro global launch was also met with a shortage in Apple Pencil supply.
