A new Asus Pegasus-series smartphone has been spotted at a Chinese certification site. The listing on Tenaa also reveals few specifications about the unannounced smartphone.
The alleged Asus Pegasus X005 smartphone was listed with model name ASUS_X005 on the Chinese telecommunications certification website with images.
For specifications, the Pegasus X005 is listed on Tenaa featuring a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD TFT display; a 1.3GHz octa-core processor; 2GB of RAM; 16GB inbuilt storage; expandable storage via microSD (up to 32GB); Android 5.1 Lollipop with ZenUI; a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; a 5-megapixel front-facing camera; dimensions of 155×76.4x9mm; weight of 177 grams, and 4G LTE support.
The images on Tenaa of the Pegasus X005 show the front and rear panels. The handset appears to sport a plastic back though we will have to wait for the handset to officially launch to confirm this.
To recall, Asus launched the 4G LTE-enabled Pegasus X002 priced at CNY 799 (approximately Rs. 8,000) in China in December last year. The Taiwanese company back in July this year launched the Pegasus 2 Plus smartphone in China.
Recently, Asus launched the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 in India priced at Rs. 5,299.
The Zenfone Go 4.5 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT6580M quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The company also offered 100GB of free Google Drive storage, valid for two years. This excludes 5GB of free Asus Web Storage with lifetime validity.
