The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the results for the extended second round of allotment for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET-K 2015). The candidates can check the results at the official website of KEA.
The authorities have asked the selected candidates to complete the formalities regarding payment of fees. The candidates can download the admission order from July 22 to 23. The last date for reporting to colleges is July 24.
KEA conducted an extended second round of allotment for the candidates who missed out on seats earlier. All candidates were eligible to participate in this round, except for those who selected Choice 1 , i.e. ‘confirm and take admissions’ or Choice 4, i.e. ‘leave the seat and exit CET counselling’.
In the second round, the students had the option to choose from about 80 medical seats and 800 engineering seats. Also, the candidates could enter fresh options. The seat matrix was displayed on July 17 and the candidates were permitted to make the option entry by July 20.
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET-K 2015) commenced with the Mathematics and Biology papers on May 12 and ended with the Physics and Chemistry papers on May 13. The results for the competitive exam were declared on June 1.
The exam was conducted at 343 examination centres in 53 locations across Karnataka. Around 1.5 lakh candidates appeared for the CET-K 2015 for admission into medical, dental, agriculture and engineering seats in the State.
Last year, Karnataka CET was held across 52 cities spread over Karnataka. Around 1,37,000 applicants appeared in the exam, competing for admissions to get into nearly 220 Engineering colleges in the State.
