Moto E4 Plus, Moto G5S Plus, Moto X4, Moto Z2 Play Available With Discounts in Moto Fest

Motorola is offering discounted offers on four smartphones from its lineup in India under Moto Fest sale. These include the Moto E4 Plus, the Moto X4, the Moto G5S Plus, and the Moto Z2 Play. A maximum discount of Rs. 6,000 is applicable and the duration of the sale is from Tuesday, March 27 to Thursday, March. The smartphones will be available across all retail channels including Amazon, Flipkart, retail stores, and Moto Hubs across the country.

The Moto E4 Plus is available for a discounted price of Rs. 9,499, down from its launch price of Rs. 9,999. It will be available offline via Moto Hubs and online via Flipkart. The Moto X4 (3GB RAM/ 32GB storage) variant is available with an exchange offer of Rs. 3,000 which brings down the launch price of Rs. 20,999. This offer on the smartphone is available on Flipkart as well.

Meanwhile, the Moto Z2 Play has been given a deep price cut of Rs. 6,000 and is available at a price of Rs. 21,999 during Moto Fest sale. This smartphone can be purchased along with the offer via Flipkart. Also, there is an offer on the Moto G5S Plus which has seen a limited period price cut of Rs. 4,000. The smartphone is available at Rs. 12,999, down from Rs. 16,999 and can be bought at Moto Hubs and via Amazon.

As part of the offer, buyers can also avail benefits such as No Cost EMI options with zero processing fee via Bajaj Finserv and Home Credit. Select Motorola smartphones were available at a discounted price during Moto Days sales last month as well.

To recall the specifications, the Moto E4 Plus sports a 5.5-inch HD display, a MediaTek MTK6737M SoC, and 3GB of RAM. The Moto X4 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display, a Snapdragon 630 SoC, and 4GB of RAM. The Moto G5S Plus features a 5.5-inch full-HD display, Snapdragon 625 SoC, and it comes with 4GB of RAM. Finally, the Moto Z2 Play sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display, a Snapdragon 626 SoC, and 4GB RAM.

Moto G6 Play has reached Taiwanese certification agency NCC days after its key specifications were spotted on Geekbench. The latest development suggests that Lenovo-owned Moto brand could soon get the new entrant in its existing G series, alongside the previously reported Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. In another news, specifications of the Moto E5, Moto E5 Play, and Moto E5 Plus have emerged online. All the three Moto E series entry-level devices are likely to be launched early next month.

The debut of the Moto G6 Play at NCC has been confirmed through some leaked images, as reportedby TrendyTechz. The images show that the new handset has a design similar to the Moto X4, with two camera sensors on the back. The smartphone appears to feature an under 6-inch display panel, rumoured as a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) one, with thin bezels. Further, the images sourced from NCC highlight a Micro-USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as confirm a back-facing fingerprint sensor. The smartphone also seems to sport a front-facing LED flash.

It is expected that the Moto G6 Play will come with a decent battery life. The smartphone is also rumoured to come in two variants, with 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage options. As per the specifications leaked surfaced on Geekbench, the new Moto G series handset will come with a Snapdragon 430 SoC and run Android 8.0 Oreo.

Coming to the refreshed Moto E family, it has been rumoured that this new range will include the Moto E5, Moto E5 Play, and Moto E5 Plus. Tipster Andri Yatim claims that the Moto E5 Plus will come in two variants, with Snapdragon 430 and MediaTek MT675X SoC options. He also reveals that the entire new Moto E range will come with dual rear camera setups.

The Moto E5 is said to include a 5.5-inch HD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear camera sensors, and a 3028mAh battery. The Moto E5 Play, on the other hand, is rumoured to feature a 5.2-inch HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, dual camera setup with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, and 4000mAh battery. Lastly, the Moto E5 Plus is claimed to come with a 5.8-inch HD+ display, 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor along with f/1.75 aperture and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor flaunting f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone is also said to include NFC connectivity as well as a digital compass.

Earlier this week, popular tipster Evan Blass leaked a press render of the Moto E5 Play that showcased its premium build with rounded corners, relatively thin bezels, and a glossy back.

Lenovo hasn’t confirmed any details about the launch of the new E or G series. Nevertheless, there are rumours that the Moto E range will be unveiled next month, as early as April 3.

Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus, and their special editions, as well as the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus, have received temporary price cuts on Amazon India. Lenovo brand Moto, in a limited period offer, slashed the price of some smartphones in India. The offer is available on the Moto Store on Amazon India website from Tuesday, February 13 to Thursday, February 15.

The Moto G5 is available at a price of Rs. 8,499, down from its MRP of Rs. 11,999. The Moto G5 Plus gets a price cut of Rs. 6,000 and is now available for Rs. 10,999, down from Rs. 16,999. The Moto G5S is now available at Rs. 11,999, down from Rs. 13,999, with an extra Rs. 2,000 off on exchange, while the Moto G5S Plus is available at Rs. 13,999, down from Rs. 16,999, with an extra Rs. 2,000 off on exchange.

To recall, the Moto G5S is an upgraded variant of the original Moto G5. The dual-SIM Moto G5S runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LCD display. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. It comes with a 16-megapixel rear sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The Moto G5S has a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.

Meanwhile, the Moto G5S Plus is a better-endowed version of the Moto G5 Plus. The dual-SIM Moto G5S also runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and sports a bigger 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LCD display. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. It comes with two 13-megapixel rear cameras and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The Moto G5S Plus also has a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.

The company had recently launched the Moto X4 6GB RAM variant in India. Also, Moto Z2 Force is another smartphone that is set to launch in India on February 15.

Moto X5 Rumoured With iPhone X-Like Notch; Moto Z6, Moto G6 Family Leaked Ahead of MWC

While companies like OnePlus and Vivo already opted for proprietary face unlock features to take on Apple’s iPhone X, Lenovo brand Moto brand is now reportedly preparing an even closer iPhone X competitor that would sport a notch and dual camera setup on the front. The new Moto offering, rumoured to be called Moto X5, is expected to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona next month. The company is also purportedly developing the Moto Z3, Moto Z3 Play, and its first 5G Moto Mod alongside three new Moto G variants, leaked as the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play. All of these smartphones have been tipped in a leaked renders.

As featured in the first of the leaked marketing render, courtesy Droid Life, the Moto X5 appears to be one of the closest Android-running rivals of the iPhone X. The smartphone has a thin-bezel display panel that has a room for the frontal notch, similar to the one featured on the iPhone X, with two camera sensors on either sides of an earpiece. The camera sensors are likely to be used to take enhanced selfies as well as to enable face unlocking functionality with some advancements over the Face Unlock debuted on the OnePlus 5T and some recent Vivo smartphones, including the Vivo X20 and Vivo V7+. Also, the leaked render points to Moto’s Smart AI and Moto XP that would be some artificial intelligence (AI) powered features to distinguish the user experience.

Interestingly, the rumoured Moto X5 doesn’t appear to have any physical or touch-sensitive button on the front but a white on-screen button very well appears in the leaked render. The on-screen button may offer gesture support to help users navigate from one screen to another. There are also chances that the smartphone could feature an under-display fingerprint sensor to take on the Vivo X20 Plus UD that was lately spotted on TENAA. Besides, the back of the Moto X5 seems to a panel similar to the one came with the Moto X4 last year. It comes with rear-facing two camera sensors and an LED flash.

If we believe the specifications mentioned by the Droid Life folks, the Moto X5 will come with a 5.9-inch FHD+ display that would sport 18:9 aspect ratio.

Similar to the Moto X5, the Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play are also leaked by Droid Life in some renders. Both the new Moto Z series handsets are said to have a 6-inch FHD+ curved display that is touted to be “borderless”. The company is also rumoured to be in plans to launch a third Moto Z3 handset with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. However, it is unclear whether the same SoC would power the Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play as well.

Having said that, the new Moto Z series smartphones appear to have a single on-screen button on the front – similar to the reported Moto X5. The company is also rumoured to be working on a new Moto Mod that would enable 5G connectivity on the new Moto Z family. The 5G Mod is notably mentioned by Moto back in December 2016 to offer super-fast wireless connectivity. It may have a built-in battery pack to make the attached smartphone last for a day, despite offering a high-speed data experience.

In addition to the Moto X5 and the new Moto Z line, folks at Droid Life have also leaked three renders showing the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play. The new Moto G6 series appears to sport a 3D glass back – similar to the one featured on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge back in April 2015. Among other models, the Moto G6 is rumoured to have a 5.7-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a Snapdragon 450 SoC, coupled with 3GB and 4GB RAM options. The smartphone is also reported to carry 32GB and 64GB storage options. Further, it has 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera sensors on the back, while a 16-megapixel camera sensor is featured on the front.

The Moto G6 Plus, on the other hand, is rumoured to have a 5.93-inch display with the same full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution as the Moto G6. It is likely to have the same camera specifications. However, the Plus model will come with a Snapdragon 630 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM, as reported by the online source. The Moto G6 Plus, unlike the other two models, is rumoured to have a 5.7-inch HD display and a massive, 4000mAh battery. Importantly, all the three Moto G series smartphones appear to have a fingerprint scanner on the front that is missing from the new Moto X and Moto Z models.

The Moto G6 is expected to go on sale in the US for around $240 (approximately Rs. 15,300), while the Moto G6 Plus is rumoured to be available at $330 (roughly Rs. 21,000). The latter will come in Deep Indigo, Nimbus, and Dark Lake colour options. Price and availability of all the new Moto smartphones are expected to be announced following their debut.

Lenovo brand Moto on Friday announced the launch of three new Moto Mods for its flagship Moto Z range in India. The new Moto Mods comprise the JBL SoundBoost 2 Mod for audio, the GamePad Mod for handheld gaming, and the TurboPower Pack battery mod for charging on the go.

Priced at Rs. 6,999, the JBL SoundBoost 2 Mod succeeds the previously launched JBL SoundBoost Mod. Moto claims a 10-hour battery life and water-repellent coating on this mod. It comes in Red, Blue, and Black colour variants and features a fabric-coated back for better grip. With a built-in kickstand, the JBL SoundBoost 2 Moto Mod offers a handsfree experience. The My JBL SoundBoost 2 app will also be available for managing audio settings.

The second Moto Mod announced on Friday is the GamePad Mod. It snaps to the back of a Moto Z-Series smartphone and offers a handheld gaming experience. The Moto Game Explorer app pops up on first-time installation and gives you a list of the compatible games on Google Play. Once you install your preferred game, it automatically gives functionality to the gamepad, which has dual control sticks, a D-Pad, and four action buttons. The GamePad Moto Mod is priced at Rs. 6,999 and comes with a built-in 1035 mAh battery.

Finally, the last Moto Mod that came to India is the Moto TurboPower Pack Mod that packs in a 3500mAh battery for your charging needs on the go. It snaps onto a Moto Z phone, just like other mods, and is claimed to offer up to 7 hours of battery life within 15 minutes of charge, which is made possible with a fast charging 15W output. This Mod is priced at Rs. 5,999.

All three Moto Mods will be compatible only with the Moto Z, Moto Z Play, Moto Z2 Play, Moto Z Force Droid, and the Moto Z2 Force Edition. The Mods will be available online via Flipkart and offline via Moto Hubs and other Moto retail partners. The Moto Mods will go on sale starting Saturday, December 16. You will also be able to rent out Moto Mods on Rentomojo.com, starting December 22.

Moto X4 has been launched in India. The latest Moto X-Series smartphone from Lenovo brand Moto will be exclusively available on Flipkart in India. Apart from its dual rear camera setup and front flash module, the smartphone is also IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. The Moto X4 also comes with Amazon Alexa support, however, this feature won’t be accessible until Amazon releases the Moto Alexa app, the company revealed to Gadgets 360. Lenovo is also claiming the Moto X4 is the first smartphone running on the new Snapdragon 630 SoC to be launched in India. The Moto X4 has been launched in two variants in India – 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage – and both feature dual-SIM support. Moto X4 price in India starts at Rs. 20,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 22,999. It will be available in Super Black and Sterling Blue colour variants, exclusively from Flipkart and Moto Hub shops. The Moto X4 goes on sale at 11:59pm on Monday, November 13.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Moto X4 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) LTPS IPS display with a pixel density of 424ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 630 SoC clocked at up to 2.2GHz, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM.

As for the dual rear camera setup on the Moto X4, Lenovo has chosen a 12-megapixel primary camera with a Dual Autofocus Pixel sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, and 1.4-micron pixels. The setup also consists of a 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view, an f/2.2 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixels. The dual rear camera setup is accompanied by a colour correlated temperature (CCT) dual-LED flash and supports phase detection autofocus (PDAF). Overall, the setup helps provide such photography modes as ultra-wide angle shots, selective focus, as well as depth detection and depth effects like Bokeh.

The Moto X4’s front camera features 16-megapixel sensor with 1-micron pixels and an f/2.0 aperture, which the company says will help in low-light photography. Of course, the selfie flash also helps. Apart from a 4-megapixel adaptive low light mode, there is also a beautification mode.

As we mentioned, the Moto X4 is available in two inbuilt storage variants – 32GB or 64GB – both of which are expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.

The Moto X4 measures 148.35×73.4×7.99mm (9.45mm at camera bump) and weighs 163 grams. It is powered by a 3000mAh non-removable ‘all-day’ battery, which when coupled with a 15W TurboPower charger (bundled in the box) will provide up to 6 hours of power in 15 minutes of charge.

We’ve mentioned some of the biggest features of the Moto X4, such as its IP68-rating for dust and water resistance. Its Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity has also been leveraged to allow the smartphone to sync with up to four speakers, headphones at a time – something Moto is calling a Wireless Sound System. It also bears a fingerprint sensor on the home button.

Other features include Moto Experiences, with gestures like a 3-finger swipe for screenshots, as well as a built-in password manager called Moto Key. There are also features like one-button navigation, Moto Display, and Moto Voice. The rear camera is also capable of landmark/ object recognition, and can also scan barcodes and QR codes. When scanning business cards, the smartphone automatically adds the contact.

A new leak has claimed Moto X4 India pricing ahead of the official launch. Lenovo has been going back and forth on the launch of Moto X4 in India. The company previously scheduled the launch for early October though postponed it due to unknown reasons. Now, the smartphone has been scheduled to launch on November 13.

Now, a new leak seemingly drops a hint around the pricing of the Moto X4 in India. A Twitter user named Zhao Yu has shared an image that purportedly shows the price tag of the Moto X4. As per the leaked image, the Moto X4 with model number XT1900-2 will come with a price tag of Rs. 23,999. A second leaked image claimed to be from the Settings page reveal dual-SIM support for the Moto X4.

To recall, the Moto X4 was originally unveiled at IFA 2017. One of the biggest highlight of the smartphone is that it features both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa as voice-based virtual assistants. The handset sports a metal unibody design and packs a fingerprint scanner under the home button at the front. It also comes with a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack which are found on the bottom of the handset.

Coming to specifications, the Moto X4 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and supports a single-SIM slot (Nano). Though, we can presume that the Indian variant will support dual-SIM cards. It features a 5.2-inch full-HD LTPS IPS display with 424ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. There’s a dual rear camera setup that includes one 12-megapixel dual autofocus sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels; and another 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor. The front camera packs a 16-megapixel selfie sensor with flash support. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with support for fast charging.

After multiple leaks spread over several months, Lenovo’sMoto X4 smartphone was launched at IFA 2017 recently. While the launch didn’t throw many major surprises, as it turns out, we are not yet done with the smartphone. A Moto X4 smartphone with Android One branding has now been leaked in a render image and the handset has been tipped to make its way to the US soon.

Popular tipster @evleaks aka Evan Blass on Saturday shared the render image of the Moto X4 smartphone with Android One branding at the back. While there seem to be no other changes in terms of design, as can be seen from the camera module, the handset in the render image can be seen sporting an Android One moniker towards the bottom end.

Further, 9To5Google reported back in April that Moto X series smartphone for this year might be among the prime contenders to be launched in US as part of Google’s Android One program. The publication has now reiterated that Moto X4 will likely to be the first Android One handset to be launched in the US.

Apart from being part of the Android One program, the Moto X4 smartphone is likely to ship with same specifications as the regular variant of the handset. This means, the smartphone will pack a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) LTPS IPS display with 424ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The Moto X4 is powered by the 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 508 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

In terms of optics, the Moto X4 sports a dual camera setup at the back. Moto G5S Plus and Moto G5S, the special edition models of the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones, were launched in India on Tuesday. The Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus India launch occurred within a month of Lenovo unveiling them globally. The latter will be available via offline stores, while the latter will be sold via Amazon India as well as the company’s Moto Hub offline stores. The key features of the two smartphones is the rear camera. While the Moto G5S Plus bears a dual rear camera setup (with two 13-megapixel sensors) the Moto G5S sports a single rear camera setup (with a 16-megapixel sensor); both feature front flash modules.

The Moto G5S Plus and Moto G5S both sport fingerprint sensors on their home buttons, bear metal unibody designs, and feature water-repellent nano-coating that makes them splash-proof. They both ship with TurboPower chargers as well, for fast charging.

The Moto G5S Plus price in India is Rs. 15,999. It will be available in Lunar Gray and Blush Gold colour variants exclusively via Amazon India at 11:59pm IST on Tuesday itself; it will also be sold via Moto Hub offline stores in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. Launch offers include extra Rs. 1,000 off on exchanging your old Moto smartphone, No Cost EMIs on all credit cards, a discounted Rs. 499 price for the Moto Sports headphones, up to 80 percent off (up to Rs. 300) on the Amazon Kindle app, and up to 50GB additional 4G data. Alongside, the company announced the Moto G5 Plus price in India has been dropped to Rs. 14,999, down from Rs. 15,999.

On the front, it bears an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle lens, and an LED flash.

The Moto G5S Plus bears 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. The smartphone runs on a 3000mAh battery that with the TurboPower charger can in 15 minutes provide up to 6 hours of battery life. It weighs 168 grams and measures 153.5×76.2x8mm.
