Microsoft officially launched the Surface Pro 4 in October 2015 in the United States and other countries around the world. The Windows 10 device was not made available in India from the get go, but that finally changed.
The Surface 4 is a high-end tablet with a high-end price. In the United States, the slate has a starting price of $899, which is quite steep for a tablet, but understandable seeing as the components are not the regular tablet-grade stuff we’ve seen in cheaper Android and iOS devices.
With that in mind, one can be very sure the tablet will not be more affordable India. The Surface Pro 4 price starts at a steep Rs. 89,990 ($1,345). With that much cash, interested parties can pick up the version with the 6th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 128 GB SSD, and 4 GB of RAM.
Now, if you want to step it up a notch to ride with the big boys, then the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD is a perfect choice. However, this thing is definitely not cheap. It will set you back at Rs. 120,990 ($1,808) so keep that in mind before telling a retailer to package it.
Some folks might not be too interested in the Core i5 model, and that’s fine. So how about the Core i7 model that comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD? We knew you’d be all over that. Still, step back a bit and consider that it costs a whopping Rs. 144,990 ($2,167)
Interested folks can preorder the tablet right now, but bear in mind that this can only be done on Amazon.in and shipping begins on Jan. 14. Should you click on the price links we’ve provided, they will direct you to the relevant pages. For folks who want to look at the devices up-close and personal, simply visit the Microsoft Stores in Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Noida.
What about the Microsoft Pen accessory? It’s there as well, but it will cost Rs. 5,990 ($89) to own. Finally, should users need it, the Surface Type Cover keyboard in both Black and Blue colors will be sold for the cool price of Rs. 12,490 ($186).
When it comes down to the specifications, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 boasts a 12.3-inch display that is capable of delivering a resolution of 2,736 x 1,824. There’s a 5-megapixel front camera for video calls and for taking selfies, and an 8-megapixel rear camera that can take videos at full HD.
The battery on the inside has a capacity of 5,547 mAh, and the default operating system is no other than Windows 10.
