Honor 9 Premium with 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM coming in more markets soon

The basic one with 4GB RAM+ 64GB ROM, the second one with 6GB RAM+ 64GB ROM and the highest one with 6GB RAM and the highest version with 6GB RAM+ 128GB ROM. The storage space can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The high-end or premium version of the Honor 9 will now be up for sale in some of the European countries as well, claims a report by WinFuture. This is quite surprising since versions with more RAM usually stay limited to the Chinese market. Notably, the Honor 9 featuring 6GB of RAM and 128GB of default storage will be called Honor 9 Premium.

As for the pricing, it will cost around €450, which is roughly equivalent to Rs. 33,000. Well, considering the specs and features, the smartphone is quite reasonably priced. However, the 6GB RAM variant of the Honor 9 is priced at around Rs. 28,500 in China. Talking about the specifications, the Honor 9 Premium is powered by an Octa-core Kirin 960 processor. On the optics front, the smartphone features a rear dual camera setup, which consists of a 20MP sensor (for monochrome) and a 12MP sensor (for RGB) with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash.

Likewise, there is also an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Moreover, the rear camera supports 4K video recording and the front camera supports full-HD video recording. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat layered with Huawei’s EMUI 5.1 skin on top. Connectivity suite of the phone offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, GPRS/ EDGE, and a USB Type-C port. Fueling the device is a non-removable 3200mAh battery.

The specifications for Lenovo’s upcoming Moto X4 were leaked in detail earlier this month but now a new set of specifications for the smartphone have surfaced on the Internet. The new specifications for the Moto X4 have been spotted on a benchmark website and suggest that the smartphone will come with 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB, which was tipped earlier – though of course, it may launch in two variants.

The GFXBench listing of the Moto device with model number XT1789, which is expected to be Moto X4, suggests that the handset will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and sport a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. Notably, the previous leak tipped the smartphone to feature a 5.2-inch full-HD display. Just like the previous leak, the listing suggests that Moto X4 will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC.

However, the listing has tipped the smartphone to come with 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB RAM that was suggested earlier. The discrepancy continues even in terms of storage as the listing says the smartphone comes with 16GB built-in storage, against the 32GB tipped earlier. As we mentioned, it’s possible Moto launches two variants – 3GB RAM/ 16GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage.

In terms of optics, the GFXBench listing suggests that the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel camera at front and a 12-megapixel sensor at the back. The Moto X4 is expected to come with a dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel and another 8-megapixel sensor at the back.

Interestingly, the Moto X4 is expected to be the first non-Google smartphone to support the search giant’s Project Fi MVNO service that allow users to switch seamlessly between the different carriers. While there are rumours about the smartphone’s launch at July 25 event from the company, it hasn’t been confirmed as yet.

After launching the Holly 3 in October, Huawei Terminal brand Honor has launched the Holly 3+ smartphone in India. The latest smartphone from the company seems to be identical to its predecessor in pretty much every way, except for memory and storage – which get a bump here. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 12,999 (MOP) and is available across India through offline channels.

The Honor Holly 3+ is pretty much identical to the Honor Holly 3 when it comes to specifications. It sports the same plastic back panel as the Honor Holly 3 and is likely to be patterned as well.

The dual-SIM Honor Holly 3+ features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Kirin 620 octa-core CPU. The major difference here is that the Holly 3+ comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage compared to the 2GB/ 16GB storage option for its predecessor. The storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). Notably, the latest model continues to run on EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow instead of Nougat.

Camera specifications seem to be identical as well with a 13-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies, both coming with f/2.0 apertures. Interestingly, despite the ‘Plus’ tag with the new model, Huawei hasn’t bumped up the battery as one would generally expect. The Holly 3+ packs a similar 3100mAh battery that came along with the Holly 3. Sensors include accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, compass, and G-sensor.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Driect, Wi-Fi hotspot, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth v4.0. The Holly 3+ measures the same as its predecessor at 154×77.1×8.45mm and weighs 168 grams. As mentioned, the smartphone will be available through offline retailers, while the Holly 3 is available on Amazon India.

While much about the LG G7 ThinQ had been revealed up until now, the next-generation LG flagship has now surfaced on Geekbench database to detail its key specifications. The benchmark listing also confirms top-notch scores of the smartphone that is arriving in New York on May 2. The latest revelations emerge just after LG confirmed the presence of a 6.1-inch QHD+ (1440×3120 pixels) LCD panel with brightness of 1,000 nits and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The handset is also expected to come with a notch design and a ‘Second Screen’ that debuted on the LG V20 in September 2016.

As per the Geekbench listing, the LG G7 ThinQ (model number LGE LM-G710) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC that has eight processing cores with a base frequency of 1.7GHz, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The latter part puts a question mark on the performance part as most of the flagship devices nowadays come with at least 6GB of RAM – OnePlus flagships have been sporting 8GB RAM for over a year now.

However, despite low RAM capacity, the benchmarked LG G7 ThinQ received scores in line with the Snapdragon 845 SoC-powered Samsung Galaxy S9 variant. It garnered 2,312 single-core score and 8,979 multi-core score.

We need to wait for the official launch of the LG G7 ThinQ to see its real-life performance. But in the meantime, LG is also in the headlines for preparing the LG Q7 as the successor to its last year’s Q6. The smartphone was recently spotted on the FCC site with a couple of screenshots that hinted the presence of an 18:9 aspect ratio-featuring display. It is expected that the LG Q7 will join the launch of the LG G7 ThinQ next month.

Honor 9 Lite 4GB RAM Model Available in Open Sale Till Sunday

Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei’s, has announced the availability of the Honor 9 Lite smartphone in an open sale – specifically, the 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage model – until Sunday, April 8. The 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model will now be made available in a bi-weekly flash sale exclusively on Flipkart. Honor 9 Lite is one of the smartphones that the company had launched in India this year, in its efforts to make its mark in the affordable smartphone segment. Positioned in the sub-Rs. 15,000 segment, the smartphone is the successor to the Honor 8 Lite. The key feature of the handset is the presence of four cameras – two at the back, and two at the front.

As part of the company’s Honor World Carnival, which started on April 4, Honor 9 Lite (4GB RAM) buyers will be able to avail an additional exchange offer of Rs. 2,000. The Honor 9 Lite is available in India at a price point of Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant and Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB variant. To note, Honor recently announced the rollout of ‘Ride Mode’ feature via HOTA update (Huawei over the Air) for Honor 9 Lite in India.

To recap the specifications, the Honor 9 Lite is a dual-SIM smartphone and runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0. It sports a 5.65-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, coupled with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants. Also, it is equipped with dual camera setups on the front as well as the back – both with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. It recently started receiving the Face Unlock feature via a HOTA update in India.

Both the Honor 9 Lite variants come with inbuilt storage expansion via microSD card (up to 256GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. Connectivity options in the handset include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery. It measures 151x 71.9×7.6mm and weighs 149 grams.

Oppo F3 Plus 6GB RAM Variant Launched in India: Price, Specifications, and More

Oppo on Monday announced its partnership with Flipkart to launch the F3 Plus 6GB variant in India. The new smartphone model will go on sale in the country with a price tag of Rs. 22,990 starting Thursday, November 16. Originally, the F3 Plus was debuted in the Indian market with 4GB RAM back in March at a price of Rs. 30,990.

As a result of the exclusive partnership, Flipkart is set to offer an additional exchange discount of Rs. 3,000, no-cost EMIs starting at Rs. 1,916, and a Buyback Guarantee of 50 percent of the smartphone’s value. Customers with HDFC Bank debit and credit cards will receive an additional five percent discount. Further, the online marketplace is offering a free 3-month Hotstar Premium subscription.

The new Oppo F3 Plus variant includes 6GB of RAM, 2GB more memory than the original handset that was launched with 4GB of RAM. However, apart from more memory space, the latest handset doesn’t have any further upgrades. The dual-SIM Oppo F3 Plus runs on Android Marshmallow-based ColorOS 3.0. It has a 6-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) JDI In-Cell display and 2.5D Curved Glass. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset that is coupled with an Adreno 510 GPU.

The Oppo F3 Plus sports a 16-megapixel primary camera sensor on the rear with an LED flash and a dual camera setup on the front with 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors. It bears 64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) with a dedicated slot. Also, it has connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.mm audio jack and Micro-USB with OTG. It packs a 4000mAh battery with Ultra-Fast VOOC Charging technology. Sensors on the smartphone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. It measures 163.63×80.8×7.35mm and weighs 185 grams.

Oppo has provided preloaded software-enabled features such as Beautify 4.0, Selfie Panorama, Screen Flash, and Palm Shutter to enhance the camera capabilities of the F3 Plus.
