A Catholic Priest Was Suspended For Using A Hoverboard During Mass

Hoverboard

It seems as though the Catholic church isn’t as eager to accept hoverboards as the rest of us.

A priest in the Philippines was seen riding a hoverboard on Christmas Eve, however, he was soon suspended by the Diocese of San Pablo.

Video footage of the priest in question went viral after hitting social media, but some members of the church were not as excited as the church’s congregation seemed to be. According to the Diocese, the priest has apologized and will need to take some time off to think about what he’s done.

“The priest said that it was a wake up call for him; he acknowledged that his action was not right and promised that it will not happen again,” said the Diocese of San Pablo in a statement. “He will be out of the parish and will spend some time to reflect on this past event. He would like to apologize for what happened.”

It’s not yet known if the Pope will weigh in on the matter, but we certainly hope the church relaxes a little in the future when it comes to hoverboards — and other issues too, but let’s start with hoverboards.
