Following the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, Motorola Edge 50 Pro, and Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo is a budget phone. It builds on the Motorola Edge 40 Neo from last year by adding a telephoto camera and expanding on the low-light capabilities that made the 40 Neo a good budget option. Features

The camera system on the Motorola Edge 50 Neo is largely identical to that on the Motorola Edge 40 Neo. In a similar vein, it has a front-facing 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture, a 13MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 50MP main camera with OIS. The 50 Neo has a 10MP telephoto camera with OIS, an f/2.0 aperture, a 3x optical zoom, and a 30x superzoom, in contrast to the 40 Neo. There are Portrait, Pro, and Night Vision modes available in the camera app. The phone also has a Macro Mode and can take photos with a tilt shift and panoramas. The 50 Neo can record 30 frames per second of 4K video. Moto AI enhancements have been incorporated for video recording with Adaptive Stabilisation.
As with the pink Google Pixel 9 Pro, it is very nice to see smartphones coming in different colours and I grew to really appreciate the red colour. The phone is a little bit smaller than the 40 Neo, so those who prefer smaller phones probably will like it. It has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. It has a 120Hz refresh rate on its 6.4″ pOLED display. Additionally, it is equipped with 68W of fast charging and runs Android 14. The device can hold up to 512GB of data and has up to 12GB of RAM. With a vegan leather finish, this phone is available in the Pantone colors Poinciana (red), Grisaille (grey), Lattè (light brown), and Nautical Blue (blue). The phone I received to review was the Pantone Poinciana colour option, which is basically the colour of Aperol Spritz.
