According to sources Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, visited Delhi technological university to review its functioning. During his visit he had a brief meeting with the vice-chancellor and the chairman of the college, along with various department heads and the Dean.

“I had a chat with them. I wanted to understand what the university is all about, that is it,” the LG said. The LG, who was vice-chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia from September 2009 to July 2013, was on his first visit to DTU as the Lieutenant-Governor and Chancellor of the university.
He wanted to acquaint himself with the staff “and get to see face behind the names”, University Vice-Chancellor Pradeep Sharma said.
“This was an informal meeting in a formal way. Basic discussion was with the faculty, he wanted to know what they are doing, what their roles are, what deficiency they feel. He took stock of the situation.
During his visit he raised some issues related to infrastructure, particularly shortage of hostels which were brought up by the faculty, which he said he would address. He said he could not commit but he will see what can be done.
