Kerala DHSE Plus One Class 11 Results To Be Declared Soon At Keralaresults.nic.in

Kerala 11th Class Result 2017 Expected Today
NEW DELHI: Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala (DHSE Kerala) will announce the plus one (11th class) result today. While result related updates will be available at dhsekerala.gov.in, students can check their result at keralaresults.nic.in. After result declaration, students can also opt for rechecking/ revaluation (which will be decided by the Board), if they are not satisfied with their marks. Also, though Board will issue certificates supporting the result, students should save a copy of the result and take its print.

Kerala plus two results were announced on 15 May 2017 and 83.37 percent of students had qualified the exam. The Class 12 examination was held in 2064 centres across the State and outside. 3,66,139 students appeared for the exam from the school going regular category and out of which 3,05,262 students qualified for higher education. This year the pass percentage increased in comparison to last year pass percentage of 80.94.

The plus two results of Kerala are decided after taking the scores of plus one (11th class) into consideration.

While the overall pass percentage for female candidates was 89.90, it was 75.87 for male students.

Kerala Plus Two SAY and Improvement exams will be held from June 7 to 13.

Oracle Signs Accord With ICT Academy of Kerala

With its aim to educate 500,000 students in India annually through its academy, software and cloud major Oracle on Monday announced a new collaboration with ICT Academy of Kerala (ICTAK).

With this collaboration, Oracle Academy – the company’s flagship philanthropic educational programme – targets to reach 6,000 students in Kerala over the next three years.

As part of the new partnership, 125 colleges in Kerala will become members of the Oracle Academy programme.

“The agreement will enable us to provide professional development for more teachers in more subjects and, in turn, will enable them to reach even more students,” Damian Haas, Regional Director, Oracle Academy, Asia Pacific and Japan, said in a statement.

Over the next three years, ICTAK intends to leverage Oracle Academy resources to create strong computer science education pathways for 6,000 students as they prepare to launch successful careers in the field of information technology and meet growing demands for a highly-skilled technology workforce in Kerala, the company said in a statement.

Working with ICTAK, Oracle Academy will train 500 educators on its academic curriculum in Java Foundations, Java Fundamentals, Java Programming, Database Foundations, Database Design and Programming with SQL and Programming with PL/SQL.

Additionally, ICTAK will deliver a customised course in Java fundamentals to students through the Government of Kerala’s Additional Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP).

Recently, Oracle signed an agreement with ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu (ICTACT) to implement Oracle Academy curriculum across 450 educational institutions in the state to help foster the next generation of IT talent.

Kerala to provide free high-speed internet connections to the poor

Kerala to provide free high-speed internet connections to the poor

State cabinet has given a nod for Rs 1,548 crore high-speed internet project in Kerala.

The project aims to provide free high-speed internet to over 20 lakh below poverty line (BPL) households. The government has plans to complete the project by 2020.

The project has been named Kerala Fiber Optic Network (KFON).

Those eligible for a free connection will be provided the internet at a low cost. The optical fiber network in Kerala will enable the people of the state to be part of the internet of things.

Companies having internet service provider license can use the optical fiber network to provide their services in the state.

This network can also be used for cable TV network.

The project will be implemented through Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) and Kerala IT Infrastructure Limited.

The tender was won by a consortium led by Bharath Electronics Limited.

The projects aims to improve the information technology (IT) infrastructure at educational institutions, ports and airports.

Presently, only 20 per cent of the total mobile towers in the state are connected and once the KFON is implemented all mobile towers will be part of the network.
