Internet-savvy Indians are hooked to Google, Facebook, and Amazon, a report released by media management company GroupM says. An average Indian with internet access spends over 200 minutes monthly on search engine Google, the report says.

Titled Interaction 2017, the report is based on a survey of digital advertising growth forecasts in 46 markets, tracking technology developments, media trends, and consumer behavior.

Here are the top websites where Indians spend the most time. However, it is unclear what they were looking for on Google.

On average, India’s internet users spent 1.41 hours online daily in 2016. In China, the number was almost double at 3.38 hours; in the US it was 3.57 hours.

India remains an attractive market for new-age internet companies waiting to exploit its large digitally connected population. After all, in 2017, some 450 million Indians are expected to be online. The country is also home to the world’s second-largest smartphone user population.

Yet, the market is riddled with challenges as internet connectivity remains poor. A bulk of India’s netizens still use less than half-a-GB of data per month, the report said.
