As it happens, a publisher commissions, edits, markets and sells a book, and along with it the hundreds of other books they publish in a year. With too many books, and too little time, there is not much spotlight a book can steal for long. Thanks to technology and popular media platforms, authors and books could grab more eyeballs, for longer. The transformation from one to many has been drastic , book blogs, book trailers, influencers, reading communities, paid promotions, planned activities, and many more innovative strategies with increasing number of people making this their full-time business.

So how to stand out in this crowded space? The event plans to discuss this and other relevant topics.

The programme includes a three-hour intensive workshop with Arunava Sinha, the books editor of Scroll.in and 30-minute Q&A with Milee Ashwarya, publisher, Ebury Publishing and Vintage Publishing, Penguin Random House India, and Satyanand Nirupam, editorial chief, Rajkamal Prakashan.

This would be followed by networking opportunities.

The event is ideal for authors, book bloggers and reviewers, social media managers and content marketers and publicists.
